ani, senator representing Kaduna central has reacted to the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari against tenure extension for the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman and other elected national and state officials of the party.
Buhari on Monday told members of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the party that the tenure elongation of Oyegun and others was illegal.
Reacting, Sani in an interview on Channels TV praised President Buhari for saving the party from what he described as a national disaster.
“The intervention of the President, if it was not done, it would have been disastrous for the party. I feel highly relieved.
“So, in every sense of the word, it has saved the party from what would have consumed it at the end of the day.
“If we went ahead with that tenure elongation, and someone from the opposition party goes to court after all the processes of congresses and primaries has been done, the point is that we may end up without a governorship or presidential candidate and without a candidate at all the legislative arm of government.
“On my part, I told him (Buhari) right to his face that as a man who has seen it all, who has achieved so much as a public officer, he should outrightly reject that extension because the members of the party, we are outrightly opposed to it.
“What happened is that there were people who misled the President, misled the party and are trying to use that extension for them to achieve their own end,” he said.

belt youth council issued the statement on behalf of the group calling on all middle belt youths to disregard the statement, Mr Zopmal applauds the statement by TY Danjuma stating that he has spoken the minds of many middle belt youths with his landmark statement.
THE PATRIOT HAS SPOKEN
We are pleased to have the attention of Nigerians to this important press release. Given the current sad national developments, we wish to speak on some important national issues bordering on security in the Middle Belt and Nigeria at large.
It is very unfortunate that in Nigeria today maiming, killing, raping of helpless women, and destruction of property in the Middle Belt and other parts of Nigeria has become the choice sport of Fulani herdsmen without any repercussive action by Nigerian government. We have spent years now under this canopy of death in Nigeria with no hope to an end to this orchestrated plan of the enemies of Nigeria. We call on Nigerians not to think far about the enemy of this country.
We are very much happy that Gen Theophilus Y. Danjuma has made a landmark statement unfolding the key actors behind the genocide against innocent Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen terrorists. The revelation came at the right time when President Mohammadu Buhari is playing lips service to this dastardly situation under his watch. He is presiding over a nation of people who live beside their graveyards as a result of the activities of this Fourth Dreaded World Terrorist Group but it does not so much matter to him because there's no report of any Fulani herdsman being killed anywhere in Nigeria.
The statement of Gen TY Danjuma is a welcome development that will save this country called Nigeria from total collapse. As a reputable national and international personality, Gen TY Danjuma has given a sterling warning to Nigerians and the military to rise up to their responsibilities. This is because every citizen deserves the right to live. We strongly stand behind our father, leader and the leading light in the Middle Belt. It is very dangerous to live in a country like Nigeria where dangerous weapons are allowed in the hands of deadly people who do not value life.
We call on Nigerians from the Middle Belt and the South, and the progressive Far North to embrace this fact revealed to us to make things work for good in the best interest of the country. We are now really under siege to be de-oxygenated.
Also more importantly, President Mohammadu Buhari should immediately dissolve his pro-Arewa security chiefs to reflect Federal Character where competent service Chiefs from across the country will be involved. This will help avert the early sunset in the lives of many Nigerians who on no account their lives are taken off everyday by Fulani herdsmen.
While we commend the giant efforts of Gen TY Danjuma for telling the home truth, we call on Nigerians to disregard any statement in the name of any Middle Belt group who are faceless cowards that are paid to disparage Middle Belt leaders through their reckless Press Comments. Middle Belt is united under the current leadership of our amiable President of Middle Belt Forum, Dr Bala Takaya. We have realized that some groups of people have been issuing uncouth statements in the name of Middle Belt whereas we do not know where they come from, who they are and whose interest they are representing.
We want to conclude this press release by once again saluting the General, Theophilus Y. Danjuma, who has been a precious gift to the nation and the world at large. Self-defense is a right of every citizen of the world not only Nigerians. There is no law that stops anybody from self-defense in any part of the world. Nigerians should stand up and defend themselves when faced with attack by Fulani herdsmen because there is no government security that will give life after death. Our leader did not say that Nigerians should take up arms and kill innocent people like the Fulani herdsmen but rather to defend themselves in times of attacks. We should no longer allow our territories to be under siege. The experiences in Benue State, Plateau State, Adamawa State, Kogi State, Zamfara State, Southern Kaduna, Taraba State and some states in Southern Nigeria etc are reasons enough to rise up and defend ourselves .
If President Buhari is really serious about security issues, he should not waste time to probe his Service Chiefs and make the report open to Nigerians so as to save our dear country from this daunting predicaments and whoever is found wanting, should be dismissed and prosecuted immediately. Nigerians did not vote you to preside over their deaths but to provide for their welfare, protect them, and be a father to all.
Thank you
Long life Middle Belt Region
Long life Federal Republic of Nigeria

Emma Zopmal
President.
Lastly, when we first read your publications, we thought about advising of not allowing your person(s) to be used as a medium to champion some peoples selfish and senile political agenda, but we are constraint on the hand, realizing that there is press freedom whereby anyone can make statements and comments, however stupid and tenuous they may seem.
We wish you will soon be delivered from your paucity of wisdom.
Long live APC
Long live Plateau State
Long live Nigeria
at time, Michael the great leader who guards your people will take his stand. It will be a difficult time, nothing like it has ever happened since nations first appeared. But at that time every one of your people who is found written in the scroll will be rescued. Many of those who sleep in the dusty land will wake up, some to eternal life, others to shame and eternal disgrace. Those skilled in wisdom will shine like the sky. Those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and always. But you, Daniel, must keep these words secret! Seal the scroll until the end time! Many will stray far, but knowledge will increase." Daniel 12:1-4.
Death is the ultimate end of every mortal and “it is appointed for man to die once there after comes judgement, according to the Holy Bible, while in the Holy Quran it written that, “every souls must test death thereafter judgement.....”. On day of judgement mankind shall come before the Throne of the Most High, the short, tall, black, whites, rich, poor and even the powerful will appear. Present and past world leaders will face Master of the day of judgement with account of stewardships.
Nigerian political leaders will account for how elections are won and lost. Looters of commonwealth will render final accounts of ill-gotten wealth taken from public treasury. There will be no more probe panels or war against corruption. Armed robbers and violent criminals will face the throne of Judgment certainly not with arms but with blood of their victims boldly written on their palms. Kidnappers with blood money will give detail records of their activities. The beauty of this day will be the voluntary presentation of records of deeds before Almighty God.
Definitely, militants will face judgment with all atrocities written in their own hands. Shekau shall lead boko haram adherents with the black flag may be shouting Allahuakar but this time with correct statistics of kidnapped Chibok and Dapchi school girls to face judgment. All the people killed by insurgents shall rise and cry for justice. It shall be revealed on that whether the killings, maiming, raping, stealing and kidnapping perpetuated by the insurgents were part of divine injunctions handed over by Messenger of God.
Religious clerics shall definitely give stewardship of how they managed the trust of leading people to righteousness or unrighteousness. Even those who collected the alleged Seven billion and eleven billion Naira election bribe in order to subvert the political rights of the people shall render account. Those who maimed people, loot their properties leaving their children starving as orphans will face the throne with inventory of misdeeds. Election riggers will produce legitimate results of elections rigged before the Almighty God who will be the Chief Returning Officer.
Bribe givers and takers will be led by Mr. 419 carrying comprehensive data of fraudulent deeds including names of their victims. Blood suckers will not be left out, as their account books will be clothed with blood of victims. It will be a day of joy, great tribulations, while anguish shall cover faces of those whose records betrayed their deeds here on earth. But for those who were guided rightly, their faces will shine with undesirable amazement. On that day the mystery of human nature shall be revealed with the consequences of either eternal reward or sanctions.
Lawyers and judges who scuttled the course of justice for material advantages will face the throne of judgment with stewardship of the type of justice they dispensed, while victims of injustice will be demanding for final justice. Religious bigots, hate speech advocates that caused human carnage will face the Prince of Peace with the blood of victims in their hands. The blood of missing people killed on the highways by ethnic militias will be accounted for by the perpetrators. Even the “unknown gunmen who wrecked havoc on innocent citizens killing, raping and maiming will be known because they will face the judgement throne with their deeds. There will be no hiding place on the face of the earth. The devil shall be seen on that day for the first time but disappointedly he will be preoccupied with his own account without any responsibility for others claims.
Fire shall give account of all the people it consumed, water will not be left out, the gay, homosexuals, lesbians will confront the rule of creation with their records. "He who created them, created them man and woman" This day is real and there will be no adjournment. All the Prophets sent by God to mankind will be there to prosecute their adherents, they will be armed with all the messages revealed to them. Those who have no faith will be also be prosecuted by their consciences.
Solomon Dalung will be there to give account of his stewardship including all responsibilities bestowed upon. He will give account of his deeds here on earth whether good or evil. The boys scout khaki with red beret will not save him. On that day, He will answer the allegation of his faith status. All the monies he is accused of collecting from Sokoto Caliphate to betray Christianity must be accounted for. On that day it shall be proved whether Solomon Dalung is an agent of Hausa/Fulani or a genuine peace maker. There will be no appeals or preliminary objections because everybody shall be armed with his records. The only defence on the of judgment will be good deeds and nothing else.
On that day my beloved friend and brother Latep Dabang, will face the judgment throne with medical records of Solomon Dalung’s madness. As Party chairman, the day will avail him the opportunity to account for how election primaries are won and lost. He will present account of all returns from Management Committee Chairmen, party and 2015 elections funds. Even the #100 million collected from GEJ to trade of presidential election in Plateau in 2015 will be accounted for on that day. While Yakubu Datti will present the actual debt profile of Plateau State. The Local Government funds, the 5% for traditional councils, billions of statutory allocations, bail outs and parish club refunds will be available without questioning for everybody to see. The truth about the number of tractors purchased and commissioned during the visit of Mr President will be freely available on the lips of Mark Longyen without propaganda. The secret African Development Bank loan deal will be in the open including the reasons why it was concealed from Plateau people. All foreign bank accounts including vast estates in USA and South Africa will not save any of us. Hire social media mercenaries and attack dogs will be battling with their own accounts of how they destroyed names and Integrity of others.
The Fulani herdsmen will face the judgment throne with AK 47 and not cattle. They will be armed with the blood of their victims and names of their sponsors.
At the end of presentation of accounts, then the Book of life will be opened and any person whose name is not found in this Book shall be thrown into eternal condemnation.
I fear this day greatly, because I cannot imagine how it will be. Many things unknown shall be revealed. Blessed are those who found favour with this day for they shall inherit eternal paradise. I sincerely pray that we make reflection on this great day and amend our ways so that we shall all be blameless, amen. I love you all.
Happy Sunday.

u, former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), says the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is doing “extremely well” in the fight against corruption.
Speaking on the sideline of an anti-corruption townhall meeting tagged ‘A spanner in the wheel of corruption’, organised by the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Foundation in Abuja, Ribadu said there is “so much noise” in the country regarding corruption.
He said it is natural that the fight against corruption will raise many questions and debate.
“Buhari is doing extremely well,” he told TheCable, adding: “Fighting corruption is not easy; the more you see people are complaining, the more it means you are doing well. So it is a sort of badge of honour for those who are doing it.
“There are a lot of people saying so many things, but it is natural when you are fighting corruption. When it is silent, then things are not happening. So I am very okay with what is going on.”
The former EFCC chairman said the recent corruption perception index released by Transparency International (TI) — which ranked the country low — does not address the progress made in the ongoing anti-graft war.
According to him, TI’s report “is just a perception.”
“Let Transparency International come and tell me a country that has 4,000 criminal cases of ongoing trial in their own courts that is not doing well in fighting corruption,” Ribadu said.
“The perception is so because people are complaining, every single person you ask in Nigeria will say, ‘why me? Why not others.’ So that sent a message as if things are not going on properly. The moment you see these type of things happening, put your head up because you are doing very well.”
A common trend among new governments in Nigeria is the tendency to initiate new projects and abandon those inherited from preceding administrations.
All levels of governments – the federal, states and local governments – appear guilty of this.
Many reasons are responsible for such attitude, but the major one is pride. Leaders of every new government want to avoid completing projects initiated by the predecessors for the simple reason that the initiators would always take the credit for it, even if they were not responsible for the eventual completion.
Other leaders also believe that continuing projects started by previous administrations was an indication that the new lords do not have vision and mission, and therefore lacked original ideas.
Over the years, therefore, billions of naira sunk into white elephant projects have gone down the drain in a vicious cycle that have left the society as the loser.
But Plateau Governor Simon Lalong has chosen to approach governance differently, opting to complete and put to use, projects initiated by his immediate predecessor, and even those abandoned by past administrations several decades ago.
Among key projects initiated by past administrations which were completed by Lalong is the Secretariat Junction Flyover Bridge, which was initiated by Sen. Jonah Jang’s administration.
The project, which was inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari, when he visited Plateau on March 8, has drastically reduced the traffic snarl in Jos city and eased vehicular movement, especially during rush hours.
Also completed by Lalong was the ever busy Mararaban Jama’a – Secretariat Junction – British American Junction road, a 22-kilometres project, which was equally inaugurated by Buhari.
Other roads included the Miango-Wild Life Park – Rafiki road with a spur to Tudun Wada and Old Airport Junction.
But Lalong will, perhaps, be best remembered for the enormous efforts he put into reviving the Plateau State University, Bokkos, and restoring life to what many had thought was the end of a beautiful dream.
Established by the Chief Joshua Dariye administration in 2004, the university did not enjoy much attention during the eight years administration of Jang, Dariye’s successor..
By the time Lalong assumed office in 2015, the institution, according to pundits, was gasping for breath after 11 years of establishment. It had produced four Vice Chancellors but without a graduate.
For the confused students, nothing was certain. Their future was bleak, black and blank.
Lalong had an option to ignore the institution since it was not his idea, and especially since reviving it was going to be a very costly venture, but he chose to pour the whole of his being into restoring life to it because he believed that its completion would yield a lot of fruits to the state.
He started by courting and appointing Prof. Attahiru Jega, an erudite scholar and former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as the Chairman of the institution’s governing board.
The governor then sank in lots of resources that ensured the accreditation of 17 courses, completion of a conventional and e-library, construction of lecture theatres, hostels, laboratories, road network and offices.
He also linked up with TETFund and facilitated the building of many structures, purchase of computers, and many other facilities required by the institution.
As at last year, government had sponsored 64 lecturers to obtain doctorate degrees to boost the quality of manpower, while efforts are currently at an advanced stage toward securing accreditation for 15 other courses.
For many observers, the efforts have indeed yielded the desired results, especially with the holding of the institution’s first convocation in February 2017, 13 years of after it was established !
When Buhari visited Plateau penultimate Thursday, Lalong said that his administration was also working on the multi-billion Zaria Road Stadium started by Col. Lawrence Onoja, then Plateau military administrator, in 1987.
The project, which was abandoned by subsequent Plateau administrations, was revived by Jang who, however, did not complete it. Lalong has promised to complete the project and put it to use.
He said that government had also completed the Plateau Governor’s Lodge in Abuja which was abandoned by successive administrations, while the Plateau Geographic Information Service (PLAGIS), which is expected to be a great source of internal revenue, had also been completed, decades after it was abandoned.
The governor has also promised to revive many projects that had gone underground, and named some of them to include the Jos International Brewery and the Plateau Hotel.
“Such companies used to employ a lot of youths. We shall revive them so as to bring the Plateau economy back on track,’’ he said.
Lalong later told newsmen why he had opted to complete projects he inherited.
“People say I prefer to complete other people’s projects because I do not have a vision. They say I do not have ideas and cannot originate anything which is why I can only depend on the ideas of past administrations.
“But, I have always told them that the projects should not be personalized. I have always advised them to see the projects and the monies already sunk into them as all belonging to the people of Plateau.
“What it means is that if the projects are abandoned, it means billions of Plateau monies are being wasted into non-functional projects, leaving the state and its people short-changed.
“What I am doing is what will benefit the state. We are making effective use of resources and knocking off waste,’’ he said.
Buhari agrees solely with Lalong on this.
“I honestly respect your commitment to completing inherited projects; this spirit of continuity is beneficial to society and should be emulated by all leaders,’’ Buhari said in a speech at the town hall meeting during his visit.
Buhari added: “by completing projects you inherited, you have saved Plateau from massive waste and the menace of abandoned projects,’’ he said.
The president advised leaders to complete and put to use, projects that had the potential to improve the living standards of the people irrespective of those who initiated them.
Mr Paul Jatau, Chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau State Council, agrees with Buhari, and blames Nigeria’s stunted growth on the lack of courage by successive administrations to continue with ideas, policies, programmes and projects initiated by past leaders.
“There have been laudable visions by successive administrations that died immediately the initiators of such visions exited office.
“The founding fathers of Nigeria had a vision of what they wanted Nigeria to be. That vision has been killed by successive leaders who did not see the need to pursue it to fruition in the corporate interest of all,’’ he said.
Jatau said that reasons adduced for abandoning the visions were usually selfish as leaders appeared more interested in vain personal glory instead of the common and lasting good. He called for a change of attitude.
Mr Bitrus Kaze, a former member of the House of Representatives, who represented the Jos South/Jos East Federal constituency on the ticket of the PDP, is also impressed with Lalong’s spirit of continuity.
“There is nothing like Jang project. There is nothing like Lalong, Onoja, Dariye or Lar project. I see the projects as Plateau projects executed with Plateau people’s money,’’ he told newsmen in Jos recently.
He said that the people were the ultimate beneficiaries of the projects, adding that such public interest must be considered above any other personal sentiment.
Kaze explained further: “Gov. Jang’s `Redemption’ regime may have initiated projects that it could not complete. Gov. Lalong’s `Rescue’ administration owe it a duty to Plateau people to complete these projects for the benefit of the public. No one should see the projects as personal because they are executed with public money.’’
He noted that the Zaria Road Stadium in Jos was conceived by the military regime of Lawrence Onoja, saying that such laudable dream should not be left to die simply because the initiator left office in the 1980s.
But, while governments try to complete inherited jobs, Dr. Sylvestre Ade, a university lecturer, has advised successive administrations to always be wary of the antics of contractors seeking constant review of contract sums after “deliberately delaying’’ the execution of the projects.
“Most contractors usually delay jobs when government is about to change hands. The ploy is to ensure that the job is carried over to the next government and a fresh negotiation will begin.
“I would advise new governments to always dig deep into what transpired between their predecessors and contractors before entering into fresh agreements with such contractors because some job handlers have often been found to be mischievous,’’ he said.
On the whole, analysts see Lalong’s continuity agenda as a laudable initiative that is a tool for rapid development. They say that it will minimise the waste of very limited resources and advised other Nigerian leaders to emulate such attitude to governance. (NANFeatures)
