TY DANJUMA-MIDDLE BELT YOUTHS STAND BY HIS STATEMENT, LAMBAST GROUP THAT SAYS HE SHOULD RETRACT STATEMENT

In a series of press statements that have heralded the statement credited to retired General Theophilus Danjuma, the Middle belt youth council have come out to discredit the press statement issueD by the Middle belt conscience Guard asking the General to retract his statement and apologise for his call for people to defend themselves, Mr Emmanuel Zopmal, the president of the Middle belt youth council issued the statement on behalf of the group calling on all middle belt youths to disregard the statement, Mr Zopmal applauds the statement by TY Danjuma stating that he has spoken the minds of many middle belt youths with his landmark statement. THE PATRIOT HAS SPOKEN We are pleased to have the attention of Nigerians to this important press release. Given the current sad national developments, we wish to speak on some important national issues bordering on security in the Middle Belt and Nigeria at large. It is very unfortunate that in Nigeria today maiming, killing, raping of helpless women, and destruction of property in the Middle Belt and other parts of Nigeria has become the choice sport of Fulani herdsmen without any repercussive action by Nigerian government. We have spent years now under this canopy of death in Nigeria with no hope to an end to this orchestrated plan of the enemies of Nigeria. We call on Nigerians not to think far about the enemy of this country. We are very much happy that Gen Theophilus Y. Danjuma has made a landmark statement unfolding the key actors behind the genocide against innocent Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen terrorists. The revelation came at the right time when President Mohammadu Buhari is playing lips service to this dastardly situation under his watch. He is presiding over a nation of people who live beside their graveyards as a result of the activities of this Fourth Dreaded World Terrorist Group but it does not so much matter to him because there's no report of any Fulani herdsman being killed anywhere in Nigeria. The statement of Gen TY Danjuma is a welcome development that will save this country called Nigeria from total collapse. As a reputable national and international personality, Gen TY Danjuma has given a sterling warning to Nigerians and the military to rise up to their responsibilities. This is because every citizen deserves the right to live. We strongly stand behind our father, leader and the leading light in the Middle Belt. It is very dangerous to live in a country like Nigeria where dangerous weapons are allowed in the hands of deadly people who do not value life. We call on Nigerians from the Middle Belt and the South, and the progressive Far North to embrace this fact revealed to us to make things work for good in the best interest of the country. We are now really under siege to be de-oxygenated. Also more importantly, President Mohammadu Buhari should immediately dissolve his pro-Arewa security chiefs to reflect Federal Character where competent service Chiefs from across the country will be involved. This will help avert the early sunset in the lives of many Nigerians who on no account their lives are taken off everyday by Fulani herdsmen. While we commend the giant efforts of Gen TY Danjuma for telling the home truth, we call on Nigerians to disregard any statement in the name of any Middle Belt group who are faceless cowards that are paid to disparage Middle Belt leaders through their reckless Press Comments. Middle Belt is united under the current leadership of our amiable President of Middle Belt Forum, Dr Bala Takaya. We have realized that some groups of people have been issuing uncouth statements in the name of Middle Belt whereas we do not know where they come from, who they are and whose interest they are representing. We want to conclude this press release by once again saluting the General, Theophilus Y. Danjuma, who has been a precious gift to the nation and the world at large. Self-defense is a right of every citizen of the world not only Nigerians. There is no law that stops anybody from self-defense in any part of the world. Nigerians should stand up and defend themselves when faced with attack by Fulani herdsmen because there is no government security that will give life after death. Our leader did not say that Nigerians should take up arms and kill innocent people like the Fulani herdsmen but rather to defend themselves in times of attacks. We should no longer allow our territories to be under siege. The experiences in Benue State, Plateau State, Adamawa State, Kogi State, Zamfara State, Southern Kaduna, Taraba State and some states in Southern Nigeria etc are reasons enough to rise up and defend ourselves . If President Buhari is really serious about security issues, he should not waste time to probe his Service Chiefs and make the report open to Nigerians so as to save our dear country from this daunting predicaments and whoever is found wanting, should be dismissed and prosecuted immediately. Nigerians did not vote you to preside over their deaths but to provide for their welfare, protect them, and be a father to all. Thank you Long life Middle Belt Region Long life Federal Republic of Nigeria Signed: Emma Zopmal President.
