DARIYE:People Living With Disabilities Pay him a visit on Bill.
Representatives of the people with disabilities paid the Senator Representing Plateau Central, Senator Joshua Dariye a courtesy visit in respect of the passage of their bill in the Senate.
They decided to visit the senator because he was the first to pass the bill when he was Governor of Plateau State.
A spokesperson of the group said ,They also came to appreciate him for all the support he has been giving to people with disability
They cut across the whole state not only central zone ,the immediate constituency of the distinguished Senator.
They said he is one person that always reckons with them in all their challenges in the association.
In his response, The senator promised to facilitate the passage of the bill which the Senate president promised to make it possible in 30days
Physically Challenge status of the ‘Discrimination Against Persons Living with Disabilities (Prohibition) Bill, which is also known as the Disability Rights Bill.
During it's presentation on the floor of the House, The Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki says,
"The passage will further empower people living with disabilities (PLWDs) and ensure that they are not discriminated against in anyway.
Moving forward, I would like to make this promise: 30 days from today, this Bill will be sent to Mr. President for his assent.
We will fast-track it.
