HERDSMEN: "Allow Citizens to Carry Guns- Middlebelt Youth Leader

In the heat of public discourse on the way out of the farmer/herdsmen attacks and clashes that has dominated public discussions since the New year attacks in Benue.

A Middle belt youth leader,Mr John Zopmal is asking Government to provide guns to citizens to defend themselves since government has failed in securing lives and properties of the citizenry.

Mr Zopmal listed some key issues that need to be addressed to tackle the menace.

"Allow all law abiding citizens license to carry guns (m5 and pump actions rifles)

Create community for Fulani herdsmen and let them have permanent residence not to be hovering around, should any invasion they should be target and annihilated in the colony created therein.

Government should consider enforcing local security outfits. (community vigilantee)

An eye should go for the whole head. One PLATEAU life should worth 10 herdsmen lives. Its what keeps Israel going today even thus surrounded by inbred swam of enemies.

No conference or cosmetic peace carnival can guarantee peace on the Plateau until we go back on our knees and tell almighty Jah we are righteously sorry, and admit that we are at war and we need his guide, we still have alot go shoulder".

There has been various attacks in the last few days in Bassa,Bokkos and Riyom with no culprit apprehended which has been the resonating songs of the security outfits.
With the general outcry against cattle colony,it is imperative for government to find a lasting solution to these violent attacks across the country.
