PLATEAU: Plateau First before any Political Party.-Nenfort Tongshakka

As the countdown  towards the forthcoming Local Government elections in Plateau state gathers momentum ,the need for a better and united Plateau is key in ensuring that the polity does not get overheated with politics of bitterness and vendetta.

Nenfort Joel Tongshakka is of the oipion that is it not about any political party, but the interest of Plateau state.

PLATEAU FIRST BEFORE PDP, APC OR ANY POLITICAL PARTY FOR THAT MATTER

When former governor Jonah Jang goofed by supporting the late distinguish Senator GNS as his gubernatorial candidate for the PDP, majority of us said no the timing for GNS candidature is not apt not that GNS is not a good material but for the sake of Plateau unity let PDP shop for a vibrant candidate from the southern senatorial district to respect the already existing gentleman agreement existing in plateau but Baba Jang and his selfish zombie politician's and supporters close their ears and eyes and ensured that late GNS win the primaries and the consequence is that PDP loss the general elections to current Governor SBL of APC.

History on such blind party loyalty is repeating itself, this manifested in the recent public goofed by Governor SBL on a day he was supposed to be in Benue to commiserate  with  a sister state like Benue (thank God Governor SBL has  apologised) many Plateau politicians of  APC only saw the criticism as undermining  their party they put up a strong denial for something too obvious to be denied thinking only of their beloveth party's popularity to win elections and not the substance of the matter, they portrayed the same myopic politics of sentiments and self-centered ness exhibited by PDP in the built up to 2015 election and not conscience and reason which should be our rallying point.

For goodness sake political parties  are only vehicles to get power but the ultimate is what is good for Plateau our dear state. For some of us we will vote for credible candidates across party divides whose agenda is in tandem with the vision and soul of Plateau while respecting zoning for sense of belonging in a diverse society like ours. I know this is difficult for full time politician's to do but that is what the electorates should be doing.
